Acute Gastroenteritis Gastroenteritis 3. Pm examination: Female baby looks lethargic, afebrile (36.3°C), loss of skin tugor, hydration in fair. Vital signs checked and recorded as; Temperature 36.3°C. Respiratory Rate 32cpm, Pulse 90bpm, SPO2 98% weight 8.5kg.Chest is clinically clear, Abdomen soft, non tender. Central Nervous system conscious and alert. 4. Intravenous fluid: 945mls / 24hrs 4.3% Dextrose, 1/5 normal saline at rate of 39mls / hour x 24hrs, Ringers lactate at rate of 39mls / hour x 24hrs.Intravenous metronida 5mls tds x 5/7.
