There are many different social networking sites available today, and many of them can be connected together to enable cross-posting. The main objective of this study was to assess the influence of the use of social media by teenagers on teenage pregnancy among Senior High School students in Kintampo Municipality of the Bono East Region. Three research questions guided the study. The study employed mixed method research approach. Mixed method sampling technique was used to recruit the participants. The target population of the study consisted of all first- and second-year adolescent girls of the selected Senior High Schools in the Municipality. Sample sizes of 288 were selected for the quantitative arm and 10 participants for the qualitative stream. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and focus group discussion. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 21.0 and the variables were analyzed using logistic regression. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The qualitative arm was transcribed verbatim to generate theme and meaning. Findings of the study reveal social media has some negative behavior change among teenagers which could lead to teenage pregnancy. It is recommended that appropriate measures are taken by parents, teachers as well as all stakeholders’ involved to train teenagers on better use of social media so as to minimize time wastage on chatting and other irrelevant engagements that are not of major importance in their lives. Moreover, the study further recommends limiting teenagers’ access to mobile phones until they are grown enough to use them.
