ABSTRACTThis study's goal was to evaluate the impact of various training and development initiatives on secondary school teachers' productivity in Ghana, with a focus on a few Senior High Schools (SHS) in the Ejisu neighborhood. In order to examine the research topic, this study combined quantitative and qualitative analysis using a simultaneously layered design. 150 people were chosen as the sample size for the study. Data collection involved using a questionnaire. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 25 was used for data input and modification. In SHS, it was discovered that career counselling, job rotation, workshops, conferences, in-person lectures, and training/seminars significantly and favourably affected teacher effectiveness. Additionally, it was discovered that classroom lectures, seminars, and conferences significantly and favourably impacted teacher performance in SHS. The production was unaffected by work rotation, group training, or lectures, either. Additionally, it was discovered that face-to-face events and job rotation (group training/seminars) had a favourable effect on the standard of the instructors' work performance. In addition, the effectiveness of job execution was unaffected by career counselling, workshops, or conferences. The data also reveal that training and development have a greater association with teacher performance, and there is a positive and substantial correlation between total staff performance and training and development. The researcher then makes the suggestion that the training and development programmes offered should be adapted to the requirements of specific instructors while remaining in line with the organisational goals, and that training should be chosen on the basis of a comprehensive needs analysis.Key words: training, development, performance, job, teacher, programmesTABLE OF CONTENTSDECLARATIONABSTRACTACKNOWLEDGEMENTSDEDICATIONCHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTION..
