The study employs descriptive research design in examining the influence of job security on employee behviour among staff of financial institutions. The study used the quantitative data collection and analysis. The target population for the study was employees from the various financial institutions operating in the Sunyani Municipality. 227 respondents were selected from the population using both census sampling technique. Questionnaire was used as the main data collection tool. The analysis of the data was descriptive statistics (means, standard deviations) and regression analysis is done to establish the relationship and effect on the variables using SPSS. The study revealed that employees were satisfied with the job security provided by their organization as there is positive relationship between managers and employees due to adequate grievance structures to address workers concerns. The study revealed that the level of commitment of workers are low as they do not feel emotionally attached to the organization. The study showed that there is a significant relationship between job security and employee commitment among staff in the various financial institutions. The study concluded that human resource managers need to be aware of which groups of employees that are more likely to react more negatively to the perception of job security. The study therefore recommends to management of these financial institutions to make room for staff engagements in decisions that affect the work environment in which they find themselves.TABLE OF CONTENTSContentsDECLARATION.................................................................................................................
